Transcendence is a 4-song EP in the style of instrumental progressive rock/metal.

For his debut release Chris has created infectious melodies to sit on top of heavy, grooving guitar riffs, with lush mid-sections that harken back to the art-rock and progressiveness of bands like Porcupine Tree and Pink Floyd. Add to that plenty of intense soloing, huge sounding drums, and a killer mix and you have the complete listening experience.

Chris is honored to have keyboard ace Derek Sherinian (ex-Dream Theater) weaving his signature sounds on all 4-tracks, including 3 mind-boggling solos. Derek also produced the record and his skills in this arena are evident throughout. Also amazing is to have renowned skin-smasher Brian Tichy aboard, whose powerhouse drumming elevated the project to an even higher level. Brian is a music industry veteran who has played with the likes of Ozzy, Whitesnake, Foreigner and Steven Tyler, to name a few.

"As the songs developed, it became obvious that what I was really trying to do was to create sort of a transcendent listening experience, hence the title. If you pay close attention to every color and sound being recorded you can create a sonic landscape that really draws you in and demands your attention.
